So I have really straight hair and decided to try to get waves like El. I know that Eleanor has already said how she get’s her waves, so that clearly is one of the best ways to do it. But I just found another way!
So here’s what I do:
1) Take a shower in the morning. Apply heat protectant spray on your damp hair ( I use Tresemme, but any will do). Let air dry.
2) Once hair is completely dry, spray a little bit of hair spay on it (once again, I use tresemme)
3) Curl little (1/2 to 1 inch) sections of your hair with the BaBayliss Curling Wand (Eleanor uses this one). Curl each section of hair for 10-12 seconds.
4) When hair is completely curled, it should look like a spiral wave.
5) Spray hair lightly with hair spray. Then, gently run fingers through hair.
You can wear your hair like this through-out the day, but it won’t look like El’s curls yet. I recomend either just leaving it down or putting in in a fishtail braid, but it’s up to you.
6) Before you go to bed that night, put your hair up in a messy bun
7) Go to sleep
8) Wake up, undo your messy bun
9) Then you have El’s curls!
It may not be the shortest way, but it looks exactly like her’s, I sware! If your hair get’s oily in the morning you can use dry shampoo. I’m going to try and see what happens if I just do steps 1-5 at night instead of waiting the whole day, so I’ll tell you if that works. I hope this helps anyone!
How to get Eleanor Calder’s hair from Portia’s birthday!
What you need:
Brush
dry shampoo
curling wand or hair straightener
Instructions:
brush out any knots or tangles from your hair and separate it into a middle part (if you choose)
lightly curl some ends of your hair for only a couple seconds or with a straightener, clamp down on a lower section of a piece of hair and wrap it around then pull down for a soft wave. repeat to any bangs you have
spray in dry shampoo at your roots and where ever and rub in
separate the waves from the curling iron or straightener with your fingers and scrunch with your hand and apply hairspray if you choose
Okay so to get her curls you part your hair directly in the middle so you have 2 parts Then you part it again on each side but horizontly So now you have 4 separated parts. Now on each part you twist it away from your face and put an elastic to secure them. When youre done with that youll have like 4 little buns on your head. Then go to sleep and when you wake up take them out. Run your fingers lightly through the twists and done! If you like I could send you a pic of the hair tomorrow.

Thank you for sending this in! I would love to see a picture xx
So I have gotten many questions recently of asking if I could do a hair tutorial of Eleanor’s hair recently in the new picture of her and Danielle! So I hope you guys find this helpful and try it out on yourselves (:
First, part your hair off to the left side and tease all of the hair at your crown; this will create lift and is necessary. Then bring all of your hair to the right side and begin fish tailing your hair, taking different sized pieces every time for a messier look. Stop so you have about more than half of your hair left and secure with a thin black hair tie. Split the end of your hair in two and curl both pieces for a few seconds, so it has a slight wave to it.
Then your finished!
Please leave me feedback or send me a picture of you trying this hairstyle yourself!
